Hello and goodbye......

Our friends from Surrey, Lety and Stan, just sold their house 2 streets over from us in PM to 2 gals from Quebec, Anne and France. They invited friends and neighbours to say hello to the new owners and bid the previous ones farewell.

Stan and Lety will still be coming down to visit, but we will miss their 6 month stay here, especially at Christmas time, when they put on a traditional amazing night.

Mario and Murielle came too - and were able to chat freely with Anne and France, who have very little English.........

The gals brought their realtor and his daughter from Quebec and he had done real estate in the area many times, so was able to show them the lay of the land....

Lots of chatting, wine, and an amazing dessert.......

Irma, Alain and Christine came to welcome the new owners........

Owners old, new, and their realtor.......

Cynthia and her lovely kids came by.......

and a friend of Oscar and Roy's from Cancun...

Irma, Miki and Roy catch up.....

Have to say, it felt a little weird being at this house we have spent so much time in, and they sold it completely furnished, down to the last detail, so it was the same....but different......

Anne, Oscar and Alain, both of whom speak French, were able to have a great visit...

We are sad to see Stan and Lety go, but happy to meet Anne and Frank, who will be down occasionally until they retire from nursing in 5 or 6 years.

Daf has a new camera!!!!!!!!

This is our dear friend Michele, from Ontario, and she just brought me a new (to me) camera -  a Nikon D 9200. I am so happy to be able to get back to my blog....and am thankful to Andres who loaned me his until Michele arrived in PM. A big thank you to Michele!!!!
Worked at the bookstore yesterday and took a short break at the malecon enjoying one of my favourite views in PM.........
A hot sunny day, with lots of snorkel boats out on the reef, and people wandering down the beach......
This is the restaurant Pangea, where we watched the Flamenco dancers the other night . Good food and can't beat the location....right on the beach beside the malecon.
Lots of construction going on in town - a new bike path beside the road to the highway, and this building in the main zocolo which will be public washrooms....yay!!!!
Also new in the square are a total of 3 new palapas being built for shade....nice!!! This park is so well used - lots of concerts, fundraisers, community events and of course families and tourists are there all the time.
After work, I met Diane and Michele for a glass of wine at Posada Amor, where the trio Jypsy was playing..........

Paul and Bruce from Oregon joined us for a while....they both own homes here, Bruce in my neighbourhood and Paul in Villas Morelos 11.
Aniko had a Mayan coffee prepared for her....complete with flaming liquor!! Such an amazing process, and done very well last night.
