Finally, a long leisurely day at one of our favourite beaches - south beach!!! Few people, gentle breeze, and soft breakers to float around in.
Botas is always happy at the beach - he runs in wild circles in the sand as soon as we get there, grabs at the waves with his mouth, and finally settles down to chew on his favourite thing - coconuts!!!
We set up under our umbrella with a cooler for the cheladas, served cold with lots of ice and fresh squeezed lime juice, accompanied by great shrimp tacos and of course dog bisquits and water for Botas.
The beach is so lovely, and the mangrove at the south end is slowly recovering from both the last hurricane in 04 as well as all the development in this area south of town. Thank goodness there are still unspoiled places like this nearby. It was a wonderful day!
